Physical properties:
1) Methyl Cellulose(MC),HydroxyPropyl Methyl Cellulose(HPMC) is a kind of non-ionic cellulose ether made of cellulose.It is a nature macromolecule material and by a series of chemical process. Methyl cellulose(MC),HydroxyPropyl Methyl Cellulose(HPMC) is a powerd without-smell insipidity non-Toxic that can dissolve in water, become clarity and thick solution. It is provided with increase thickening , agglutination ,dispersing ,emulsification, filming, Suspension , adsorption, gel, faceactive, holdingwater, protectcolloid, etc.
2) Particle sizes: 100% pass rate in 100 mesh
3) Apparent density: 0.25 - 0.70g/ml (usually about 0.4~ 0.5g/ml), specific density 1.26 - 1.31g/ml
4) Color change temperature: 190 - 200°C
Carbonization temperature: 280 - 300°C
5) Surface tension: 42 - 56dyn/cm (20% aqueous solution)
6) The higher methoxy content in HPMC, the lower gelation temperature, and the higher solubility in water and surface activity
